    Here in OKC, we have a salvage yard that has a deal with GM. Anything they s**** at the factory comes to them. They had a suburban in there the other day that had 3 miles on it. Lightning had hit within X miles of the factory/plant and they s****ped these cars. Doesn't make sense to me, but oh well.

    All that was said for me to ask if you guys know of anything like that for Fords?

    I would like to get a late model powertrain for my F100, but I get tired of the scammers on Marketplace. I can never get a real price or real mileage. They always have a pic of a really clean motor and have like $300 in the ***le....

  2. FB Marketplace is so full of scammers it's not funny, but sometimes there's a real person just trying to get some fast cash and selling for cheap. That's how I picked up a 2017 2.3 Ecoboost & 6R80E for $400 for my brothers Falcon! Your best bet is a pick & pull yard, but you have to be fast and get it before someone else does. A lot of people make their living pulling parts off at the pick & pull yard, then reselling for profit on marketplace, so they have the hookups and know when something is coming through the yard. Coyote's are hot **** and really valuable so they'll be hard to find at a really good deal. It'd almost be worth finding a wrecked F150 or Mustang at an insurance auction and buy the whole thing.

    Or just put an LS in it:cool:

    Hey, Root;
    You can actually buy outta that yard? Was always under impression that *nothing* left those types of yards undestroyed, & never for sale to "public".

    I was s****ping cars for a living some years ago and a new Chevette comes in, dropped off a transporter with the roof crushed.

    The adjuster stood there, watched them cut out the vin plate and took it with him. The gas tank and tires were removed and it went into the compactor.

    Good enough for the insurance guy. He left, the car came out and the engine-transmission were removed in like 10 minutes. I wonder where that ended up.
