Projects Fairlane Chronicles

  1. Outstanding workmanship... but I'm going to be a wet blanket. God knows I don't want to be identified as one of the traditional police, but the more this progresses, the less traditional it becomes. The M2 I sorta get, the OEM front suspension is far more trouble than it's worth. But once the shock towers were gone, this cries out for a FE. Billet front cover for AC, serpentine belt, EFI, concealed hoses/wiring, braided lines are all street machine bits, none of which would have been seen on a traditional street car. And the street rod shifter sticking up in the middle of the trans hump looks totally out of place; it's not 1939 any more.

Beautiful car, but any connection to 'traditional' is tenuous at best. From where I sit, it's a street machine.

I give A+++ for effort. If you have the time, money and energy you might as well go over it from A to Z. Glad you stayed with it too see the light at the end of the tunnel.
