I just found this in the auto swapper. It's a killer deal to say the least. After seeing Kritz do his burnout (freezeout?) in the snow yesterday it's got me thinking that a fifties ride wouldn't be an impracticality even in Michigan. My only question is... is this really a Fairlane? I thought they all had the swoopie side trim. If it's not can anyone positively identify what it is? Custom? Mainline? Also, does anyone want to photoshop unpolished mags on the front and chrome smoothies on back? Thanks.
Its pretty hard to tell from just a photo, so many things could have been changes in its lifetime.. There should be a patent plate on the left front body pillar (where the door hinges are). It contains the vin# and below that theres the body code, color, trim, date, trans & axle, in that order. So what you need is the body code, should be two numbers and a letter, like for example 60B, which is a 55 Fairlane Victoria. I could tell you what it is if you provide that info..
True. I keep finding these good deals and I'd finally decided to go for one. This one was begging for it since I've already got a running FE and a plan.
Unless you've been obsessed with this particular car for weeks, don't even sweat it. When shopping for ANY car, be sure you know what all the options and ins-n-outs were for that model and year. That way you know what's possible and can avoid getting hosed.
