  7. No it ain't a mustang roof,,they didn't exist at that time.

If my memory is correct,,,I believe the Holman Moody team had originaly planed a limited production of the car they dubed the Challenger,,,

The car was sectioned 3",,,chopped another 3" and had aluminum doors, roof and trunk,,,289 with webber carbs, 4 speed and a 3:50 rear axle from a fairlane station wagon.

Fab work was done in house in Charlotte ,North Carolina,,

The story goes they built 3 cars,,,but the introduction of the Mustang brought a quick death to the idea.

I remember reading back in the 70's that a big dog with Ford Moter company had the 3 cars in his collection,,,HRP

  8. I believe that blue one's a copy and this is one of the originals:

Heres' the ride of some real good mates o' mine,Si and manda Emery who run a shop here in the UK called the paintbox (theyve been turning out top notch vws,rod/customs n bikes for years...)......They're members of the executioners club, one of the finest clubs, well, anywhere!(you owe me a beer Si ha ha:D)manda will love seeing her ride in such good company....hopefully a few of y'all will like it,its' not finished (when are they?!)but a v cool work in progress...its got the 6cyl and 3 -0n the tree combo, its' a 63 originally from nth hollywood.....lowered with blocks out back,14" wheels with one-off spider caps.......vw karmann ghia door handles, which was nearly a bolt-in swap, looks neat/subtle and locks are now in the handles....Studebaker taillight lenses, smoothed out rear gate with electric window.....thats' about it at the mo,although Si says it may get torn down soon for the whole "radiused rear arches, rounded door corners, earlier front bumper, chrysler quad headlights, tube grille etc, etc".....i think the threads' inspired the guy!!:D Hope y'all like anyways:)

Here are a few pics of mine. I still need to drop the rear end, and plan to build a tubular grill for the front. The headlights have been recessed 2" to fit behind the grill. After that I plan on re-doing the interior, radiusing the rear corners of the doors, and then onto paint. I added the scallops last weekend. I had a friend come over and help lay them out, and I rattle canned them on. Don't think they look to bad for having been done in the drive way.

    Enjoy:

I'm more of a Chevy guy, but I have always thought little Falcons looked cool,
so I tend to take photos of them at car shows...here you go...

I especially like the black wagon.......
