Impressive. Brings back memories. Our family had a white 66 2door hardtop that the old man bought new to take on his honeymoon - he still has it. Had the same blue interior. I was even showing him this thread this afternoon!

His was a 200ci 'super pursuit' but now has a 221. These engines were not that common down under and I believe they became even harder to find once the Holden boys found the crank was almost a drop in for one of their sixes and gave it a big stroke.

    Thanks !

Since the two door wagons never came with bucket seats, I wanted to create what would look like a 63 sprint interior. The correct seats and material. I added all the 63 dash trim, including the radio delete along with the sprint tach. It would have been nice to use the sprint wood grain wheel as well, but with IFS I really wanted a smaller wheel with a tilt column.

So im getting ready to add air bags on my '62 and i was wondering what would be easier, adding a fourlink or just connecting it to the suspension? Anybody have any suggestions?

  7. Remove all but the main leaf and place the bag between the axle and sub frame. Simple to do.

Would this work on a 64 falcon as well?

That will work on any leaf spring car technically, but I can't recommend it.

I had an ex-AFX 65 Falcon that had been turned back to street legal. Used to be called Raunchy. It was painted red with a white accent on the side reveal jobbie. If you looked along the side in the paint you could still make out the lettering. I had it back around 1975 and I could really kick myself now for getting rid of it. I also had a 61 Falcon sedan delivery with a straight axle at the same time. Its gone too damit. And I wish I would of had pictures back then of all my cars.

There is a place called Crites Restoration Products that have alot of Falcon/Comet gasser parts. But they have mainly 64-65 parts. Not too many for 60-63, but some.

    http://www.critesrestoration.com/comet.htm

That pic was taken I have no idea where???? That was before I got aholt of the car. I saw the longass thread on here about old drag pics and I PM'd a few of the guys asking if they had an old picture of Raunchy. One guy responded back and sent me that pic. Like I said, when I bought it in 1975 it had been returned back to street legal. Had a 390 with a 4 bbl, 4 speed and a 5.13 Ford 9". Still had the rollbar and a teardrop fiberglass hood. It was red with a whire stripe in the side accent and you could just barely make out RAUNCHY under the red paint. Dam I wish I still had that. I'm am really tempted to make another one. I really like that Comet "Altered Ego" that Musclecar TV is doing on Spike. Sure has me getting itchy to make one. Thats just what I need, ANOTHER project.
