Maybe it's not worth the expense, but powder coating them gloss black and running chrome lugnuts would be a good look IMO.

  2. The Ranger 5 lug axles will fit in the rear and you can update the front to Granada disc

I know where there is a fuel injected Falcon 6 cyl, race engine. It was running good when removed, to properly restore the race car with an older engine. Any ideas on what the injected Falcon would be worth, complete with magneto & accessories? Don't know if it is worth a trip to go back and see if it is still there...

I think I saw that Falcon on eBay recently. If my memory serves me correctly, it didn't meet reserve. What'd you end up getting it for falconeer? Nice car!

    MEM<,
Not knowing what engine is or was in the Falcon its hard to make an acessment of the value . I am realy not in to 6cyls. although there are some pretty stout 6s around. Its hard on the pocket book to get them to put out the hp. of a stock sb-v-8.

    Bull,
Same car that was on E- bay. He failed to mention that the car needed some floor pan work and some small other things. For whats ben done to it ,and a lot of looking, i felt like i made a decent buy . And will save me a lot of time. Runs real strong with the 95 cobra motor an 5 speed.

  6. Hotrod mag did a story on one that was injected. Hilborn style. When you say a race car, do ya mean a midget? If so, it may be a 144 as that was tried by a few guys. They didn't work out real well from a guy I talked to that had one. He pulled it to put a V8 60 back in.

Was the intake cut off and a plate bolted on, then the injection and exhaust bolted to that?

Value?? Maybe only to a collector, but not many more. If it's a 200 or 250 then maybe there would be some interest. To I.D. the engine look at the number of freeze plugs. I think 3 mean a 144-170 with 4 mains I think. A 200-250 will have 5 freeze plugs and 7 main bearings.

The place to findout the interest for sure is: http://fordsix.com/

This is the site for the 6 cyl Ford crowd.

    Hey Fat,
Love the early 60s sedan delivery. I had one in the late 60s to early 70s, it was a 62 with a hot 260 v8,4 speed ,9in rear end. Sure wish i still had it. Some day ill probably have another.

Sweet stuff. the white car (?) is a H-M from the Monte Carlo.

I saw the black car (maybe, how many can there be) at Miller.

    Sweet stuff, thanks!

Hey all, just stumbled on the thread--really cool. I love Falcons. I recently photoshopped this for a fellow HAMBer.

I like that Aussie body style. It's got the same front end lines and bumper as my '63 Comet, the headlights and grill look like they came off a pickup, and the rear from this angle is half falcon half comet.

might as well toss my wifes falcon in here now that it is painted and has the cragars on it. Hopefully a friend of mine is going to toss some flake on the roof soon.

Also, I found this gasser pic recently and it really makes me want to take my falcon this direction even though I doubt i will...

  30. the gasser belongs to tom taylor.. it runs like it looks..he owns the "fosters freeze" in rosamond ca. cool cruise night there.. he has some sweet early fords.. the '64 custom 500 i'm building came from him.
