    Muncie,
A stock converter with your v-8 set up should be fine. As far as gear ,the lower the gear the more revs you have, more revs more hp.More HP,more fuel.I have a 302 .c-4 ,3:55 gear. AT 65 MPH i am tacking 3,000 RPM. So i think a 3:00 would be plenty enough gear . MY set up drives me crazy at highway speeds. I am going to change mine to a 2:80 or 3:00 gear.
    Just a thought worth cosidering?

Way to go!!! Nice n simple. Am i mistakeing or you used to have a red
gasser 2dor Falcon??a pretty neat one at that also......

Then a question if you dont mind. im after the same kind of pinner white
tyres, i have 14" smothies, what size are those? I'd like to get either
165, 175 in either 60 or 65 profile. Do you know if they made them?
I know there are 185/70 but theyre on the too big side for me. and
cant seem to find who sells them anyway.
Thanx a ton, and props for a nice wagon.

    Hey guys,
So I found a company that makes 2" wide lowering blocks for the car that fits perfect with no mods. My question is most of the falcons ive seen on here only used 2" drop blocks. Why is that? why isn't anyone going to 3" drop in the back? I like my cars low but dont want to mess anything up also. If anyone has any idea why please let me know. Also if you have a picture of a falcon on 3" blocks please post them so I can compair. Thanks so much

with those 3" drop, how is the rear for ride, you hitting the frame much (or are you notched). I like my shit low also, mine is not even close to being low enough. have thought about bagging it but will wait as I am thinking of dropping in a SBC and T350 trans and want to get that all done first (have the motor and trans laying around and I am a chevy man first..)

  8. Heres my 61 more door, it needs a little rust fixing but thats about it, the tires on it are real decent so im just going to get them turned so the white walls are facing and im painting the rims gray and adding beauty rings. than its getting a 2 inch drop!

  9. heres the 65, I am tied between which style i like more, I like the round body's lowered and the squares at stock hight. In my opinion, if they came inline they stay inline!

Nice birds you got there fast.Yeah the rounded bodies seem to flow a lot better lowered but I have seen some square ones that look pretty cool lowered as well. What are your plans for the 65 ?

  11. first off im getting it painted! its going to be shot in a 1951 ford color, its sort of a grayed down blue green.. lol sorry i cant remember the name! ill have to get back to you on that one, but anyways it will go that color for the body with a black roof. I think the black roof makes it look a little smaller so it flows better like a hardtop. little bit of eye trickery! the engine I have is the 1968 200ci inline six with a 1978 200 head (bigger valves and log intake.) it also has a duraspark 2 dizzy and a blaster 2 coil. It is currently being triple carburated with out the offy intake manifold. home made is way more fun! also i got the dual outlet headers coming in the mail along with a nice new cam. next buy is some 289 valve springs and the dual roller timing chain. i haven't really got that much money into the engine at all, since i picked up the 78 complete engine for free from a granada getting a transplant and i traded its exuast manifold for 2 more autolite 1100's so i got my three carbs for free! im liking building on a budget with these sixes since its pretty easy when everyones getting rid of them for v8's. i got a 4cyl mustang t-5 in the works for once i find the clutch and brake pedals for a 65 falcon. which is being proven hard to find. and last for not least those little 13x7 mags in the pic are getting wrapped in 205/60/R13 cooper cobra radial gt's all the way around and i am real stoked to see the stance that this little car will put out!

I found that three inch blocks make your shock mounts/u-bolts hang too low to the ground, especially with thirteen inch wheels. My suggestion is resetting the springs rather than using blocks.

Find member Russ Wall. He sells used Falcon parts. Wall to Wall Falcon Parts

Dissasembled and painted 25 years ago, stored away, should run again today. Cleanest body I have ever seen, (garage was cool and dry!!) just gonna clean it up, add 14s and wire caps and drive it!!!

Here's a before and after of my 63 Sprint, first on 13" wheels and stock coils, followed by the suspension changes and 17" Salt Flat wheels. Pretty dramatic change!

I like that you are going to leave it an inline, and the wheels are goig to give it a great look.
