  3. Some beautiful examples of 1st & 2nd Gen. Falcons!
They look kind of natural in that nose-up stance.
Always wanted one but couldn't find a decent un-rusted one.
I did have a really nice 64 four door when I was a kid, but....too many doors.

  7. We modified everything . LOL. The axle cars tended to get pulled over by police and picked on a lot. Police could get you for bumper to high, and tires sticking out past the body. Wheels were not looked at much by the law. Blowers out of the hood and open headers were frowned on , ask me how I know.;)

Ok, we zero each other out. I love them gassers, but not really into Falcons (well, maybe a well-done Sprint). All is good.:)

A buddy of mines from around 1975? It had a 428 fe with a 4-speed and 4.56 gears.
I rode in it once and that was enough, it was quite a handful. img170.jpg

  17. That’s bad ass! Jenson speakers and a Craig head unit?

  20. One good reason is this is a traditional site , 65 and earlier..Not a 70's street freak site.
Plenty of F/B sites for those. Most of those guys couldn't buy a clue about Gassers for a thousand bucks.

  24. Mines not a gasser...heading for a Modified Production / hot little stop light car. Rims and tires will be gone and a set of M&H “muscle car” tires and some pro tracs up front, chrome reverse wheels out back and 4.5 inch Americans up front, may paint them to look magnesium. Always loved these cars

I'll see your hang-on-bumpsteer-pinchin-chunks-a-foam-outta-the-seat-with-yer-ass cartoon car and raise you one low-in-the-front-high-in-the-rear-go-around-a corner hot rod falc-20160512-05.jpg falc-20160512-00.jpg
Not trying to defend Mak Yak but I can see his point one thing is that over time what starts out as innovation for a purpose becomes a a trendy fashion and the original meaning gets lost...if you look at the old school pics not one of them is running a tire wider than 9-10" why? because that's what they had! so they sacrificed handling in the name of weight transfer...so why are all the guys building nosebleeders now running fat slicks? do you really want your car to be scary and go slower than it actually could? I guess so...... either that or it's just for looks:p if you want a fast car use slicks and six banger coils if you want a period build run 9" pie crusts and a straight axle...
