Absolutely Milner's. While you see quite a few of both 55s and the 32s at a lot of shows, (at least here in Doo Dah) you will find me hanging and panting more over the 32 long before you will see the same reaction over a 55. Carrie
I haven't gone thru all the pages yet but I'm choosin' a J-2 Olds with rear axle from a '57 Pontiac, and a stolen 'Vette tranny
I had to go with Milner 1st car was a 55chevy because of the movie, painted it yellow to match the 32 Milner drove, never thought I would own a 32 but luck was on my side about 11 years ago and got a 5 window coupe painted it black so now I have a yellow 55 and a black 32 I know ass backwards
Had to choose Milner's coupe....... Who wants to be caught in a field car dropping piles of crap wherever it goes
"why do you kill little animals, i think thats terrible" "well i figure with bears its either you or them"
Last Saturday night my wife and daughter were overnight on a Girl Scout camp-out and my son (9) had a buddy over for a sleep-over. After dinner I said, "Let's watch a movie" and I showed them AG. They loved it, especially the cherry-bomb in the toilet scene at the hop and the police car getting its diff yanked out. I had to pause the movie maybe ten times to explain what was going on (the guy robs the liquor store but tosses Toad his bottle of Old Harper) (who Wolfman Jack was) and we had a great time.
Put her back into that T-Bird and I know which car I'd jump in! Or give me that '58 Impala Sorry, I'm no help when it comes to the other two cars.....
The 32' for me ....Only with the engine Lucas said it had in the paperback version of AG . "Sporting a Hemi V8 " I doubt Falfa`s car would have even come close even with a 409 ! Chryco
Voted Milner cuz that was the shit for me the first time I seen the movie. But today I would rather have the 55
For my self.. I would leave both on the movie set and take neither one. I read some where that movie was filmed around Modesto.. is that Right?
Problem is, everyone wants to suck 32 ford weiner on this forum. I think Milner was a way cooler dude in the movie, and his 32 was awesome. But for the sake of not following sheep I'm going with the 55. Oh and I was conceived in the back seat of a black 55 chevy gasser too.....Sorry just gotta support Falfa and my roots on this one.
a straight axled 55 with roll cage also in that movie the 55 had a 427 with a 4 speed. but milners deuce coupe had a very traditional 327 4 speed.
I guess since this one's back from the dead I'll play this time around. As '32's go Milners car wasn't much to look at in retrospect. But, with that said, I'd rather have it. It's the car I drove through all my dreams when I was a kid. I was a real AG geek, still am I guess. Besidse, no matter how wicked Falfa's car was there was something wrong with the jet's, (at least according to the previous owner.)
They put a TH400 trans pan on the bottom of a 4-speed??? Damn, what's next, Olds Rocket valve covers that bolt right on to a Chevy small block?
The way I see it Falfa would have been an average 20 year old back yard builder. He was probably a security guard at a fertilizer plant. Anyway, he ain't gonna have the bread for a no new 409 or 327. An old fulie Vette engine and a bunch of machine work though maybe. With his attitde I'd like to think he might be just smart enough to go find a hemi retired from the drag strip and build it up and shoe horn it right in there. That'd suck the paint right off that piss yellow duce coupe.
