Who going to this year's FALL OUT DRAGS #7 Sept.16th 17th. In Rock Falls Wis. https://www.rockfallsraceway.com/th...uLGSeIu9a2WQIyudKxnw1FAZY3l3L1-Qz1C6QcqCNVb1w
Yes, you need to build another car! And it needs to be period correct to run the Fall Out Drags! (66 and under parts only) Besides this is the last year for the Meltdown so....
Dad and I were planning to attend with one, or both of our cars, but my wife is having surgery that week, so it doesn't look like we will make it this year. I hope you guys have a fun safe weekend. As for the last year of the Meltdown, that was 2018. The Meltdown 10 was supposed to be this year but got canceled.
Last year my tired transmission was slipping shifting 2 to 3rd so this week changed the transmission and stall converter and had a very successful test drive today. So Yup we will be there looking to run the little lady with the blue 66 Lemans again and enter the Pie Crust drag race again
Hope all goes well with the surgery, we will keep youal in are prayer. The rest of you guys and gals have fun and be safe.
My son John with his 50 Chevy coupe, myself and two other friends, one with a 64 Chevy II are attending. This started with the 4 of us going to the Meltdown drags in 2018. All it took was one trip and this is the result.
Have to be in Milwaukee Saturday. But want to cruise up Friday for some inspiration for the long cold winter in the shop. Besides the Marauder hasn't been on a road trip all summer. Too busy with post retirement "honey do list" since May 1st! lol Larry
I'll be there as a spectator. The new towing combination needs some more sorting out for that long of a trip. I'm roughly planning on racing next year, hopefully with a freshened-up engine in my 55.
Not sure if this is "Traditional" or not, but is there any place in Eau Claire that sells either Black Lable Beer or Rhinelander beer? I've called a few places, with no luck.
@Torkwrench Looks like Rhinelander has been brewed since 1845, and Black Lable since 1927, so you're good.
Saturday was a total washout but today was great. Ran a personal best with my 40 coupe 12.51… still room for improvement.
I was going to go Yesterday but something came up at the last minute. several of my friends went up to compete. Gary broke 60 feet off the line on his 1st pass yesterday and his son went 3 rounds with his Underdog2 alter and broke and then to add insult to injury he got about 10 miles from the track on his way home and his truck blew a Trans's cooler line Lol. My friend Matt posted a bunch of pics on his Facebook page. Looked like a great turn out and there was quite a turnout of Willys. Mat said it seem like a lot of cars were having problems. sounds like I missed another great show. O well only 365 days till next year. lol Larry
Rock Falls Raceway posted an 8-hour video from Saturday on You Tube. My son John and 50 Chevy coupe and my buddy Jim and his 64 Chevy II are 2 minutes in. This is John's second ever drag strip pass.
I was watching the live feed saterday. The Willys gathering parade was quite a treat to go with all the great racing.
Here's a link to a bunch of pictures for those of us that missed it. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/fall-out-drags/particle-1
