What are people having good experiences in the way of electric fans (SBC in '32 with aluminum radiator) and turn signal kits? Any to stay away from? Thanks for your advice!

I use Spal electic fans on 2 of my cars & a 19" fan off of a Ford Taurus on my 54 truck. If you have a hood on your vehical, who cares about the fan. There are really cheap China made turn signals out there. I use the one in Speedway that cost 24 bucks & goes on your steering colume.

Turn signals, get a Grote, Truck-Lite, or Signal-Stat. NAPA has them.

hand crank windows, open the thing, stick your arm out.

There are some neat old t/s switches on ebay and at swap meets. anything new looks crappy. and don't run front t/s lights, just rear, or it looks crappy.

I've used every electric fan out there at one time or another, now we only use SPAL. They put out a whole lot more air and last and last. Over the 20+ years I have been driving my 27 I was killing one fan a year or so, until I switched to SPAL. The one on my 23 was 4 years old and still going strong, and the one in my 27 is now 2 years old and fine.

I know this thread will deteriorate into electric vs mechanical, but that is not what the OP asked, he just wanted a recommendation on electric fans. :) Oh, and be sure you use a shroud with the electric fan to get maximum cooling.

I have had good luck with American Autowire toggle turn signal switch.
Mount it wherever you want just don't forget to turn it off.

Got a Wysco products fan, thin and powerful 16" . I like the stock fan look but it won't do the job in Az on a .060 over sbc. I often drive hard in 100-115 degree heat and the guys with stock spinners overheat. I endorse their no name fan because it freakin works and will reduce temp when I slow down not just maintain the highest temp reached.

oh yea, I took a set of 32 cowl lights and mounted them on the frame ('32 frame) horns just below the headlamps. The curve in the mount works there and they sit level and match the king bee's. Good visible trad looking turn sig.

The Guide backup lights for late 40s-early 50s GM cars are great as front turn signals. Fit nicely on the fender flange/frame rail of 32s near the radiator sheel.
