    Fan Clutch Assembly.jpg
I'm a Nailhead Guy and new to the Flathead scene. The fan on my 8BA is loose and causing one heck of a vibration. From what I understand, these have a crafty little clutch setup and the way it wobbles, it feels like the clutch has crapped out.
I've been busy and haven't had time to dig into it yet, but before I do; I'd like to know what I'm getting into.
It appears the shaft and the assembly are one and I suspect there are bearings inside that are no longer there, am I correct?
    1. Does the shaft come off after the two nuts are removed?
    2. Once off, does anyone have a link or information on how to disassembly/rebuild one of these?
    3. Anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit or replacement?
    Thanks, and appreciated.
Keep them out of the 'yard!

Just a short additional comment here….there’s no clutch inside the hub, nor are there any conventional bearings (ball or roller or needle type). The very hardened shaft runs on a film of oil inside the casting called a spindle bearing. The maintenance and proper refilling of the oil cavity is very important. If maintained correctly, it will last a long time.
