Hot Rods Fan on a "B" with V8 water pump.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris Haynes, Apr 1, 2025.

  1. My Model B has this V8 water pump. No holes in the pulley so no fan. What are my options for installing a fan? 20250329_145428.jpg

  3. From the patina it looks like you have gotten along for a long time without a fan. Why do you want one now, that information might suggest a solution?

Having said that you do realize you have a Model A cylinder head (4 bolt water pump with water outlet on top)? The solution might be to go to a Model A water pump.

From a functional point can you install a "pusher" electric fan in front of the radiator? (Looks like hell if it is visible but I don't know what the rest of the vehicle looks like)

  4. What @Charlie Stephens said. Switch to a new A pump with sealed bearings.
    And sell me your adapter.:D

  5. I believe Charlie Yapp over at Secrets magazine had an article showing how to do one. Give him a call maybe he still has the back issue.
