A sad day has come...Even though I am $3,400 richer, I have part with my pile of metal known as the "Model A". Bought by a guy in Japan...and picked up by his friend in Los Angeles, CA (an old Japanese Greaser who drove straight from L.A. to Corpus Christi, TX last weekend!). It'll spend it's next 2 weeks at Speed Cl***ix in CA and then being shipped to Japan. I'm on the hunt for a motorcycle or cheap driveable project...but I gotta pay off some debts first.
At least you won't have to look at a buddy's ****-eatin' grin every time he pulls into cruize night with it.
Yep, it's really gone this time... That was the last time it was pulled on my trailer... it headed for California at about 2pm Sunday... I am sorta glad it's going far away...I hate seeing my old cars driven by someone else in the same town... I'll have to admit...the eBay thing went great. 10-day auction, cost me $84, had 12 bids... I was a little weary about the zero feedback by the highest bidder, and the fact that the was in Japan...but things couldn't have gone any smoother. The $1,000 deposit was sent within 3 days, and he showed up with the balance in CASH on Sunday. Maybe I'll put my RX-7 Turbo up on eBay also...
