Well I finally done it. Just dropped my '54 Panel, Kripfink, off at the 'shop this afternoon. We're gonna Kustomise the ***** out of her 'till Easter, body mods, finishing off the interior, wild new paint. When she's done she will be the "Kripple Kart",a traditional style late '50's/early '60's showtruck(but still my daily.) It's gonna be fun,but Lawdy I will miss being out in her.Its gonna be a looong winter in a wheelchair accessible Mercedes, FFS! Damn thing makes me wanna puke, literally(travel sick) I'll post pictures of the work as I get them. Merry christmas all. One last shot of her as Kripfink; Paul
That's a cool lookin Panel already...I can't wait to see where you go with the kustom mods. I'll be watching for the updates.
I'll echo what the other 2 just said and I can't wait to see it at the shows next summer. (We are gonna get a summer in 2009 aren't we?)
F100 panels are a good thing...a kustomized one is even better... You'll get thru winter...just keep thinking of all the cruising you're going to do... R-
Well, we've gone from this; To this so far; bye bye louvers & antenna And I'm beginning to think I'm crazy. Bear claws, solenoids and poppers are all in (might not be HAMB friendly but I'm going with remotes, wanted em ever since I saw that clip of the Golden Sahara on "I've Got a Secret".) Holes are being welded up now.I should point out that my paralysis leaves me as the ideas man,and that the dirty work is being carried out by Jim Turnbull & Julie Ware at Royal Kustoms,Poole,England. Watch this space.
Man, that takes guts to strip down a panel that looks as good as that. I hope your final product is everything you wanted. I'll be watching this one...
PAUL WHAT HAVE YOU DONE At least the truck is in good hands i cant wait to see how it comes out, jim does some great work
Paul, the car sickness will be well worth it in the end!'60's style is the way forward as you KNOW!I will be keepin' up with the progress. Nick.
This is the stock license plate set up on the Panel; Now got the hole in the door welded up and the rear tag box frenched into the gravel pan; It's law over here to carry a front license plate so we frenched that too; We're also gonna lose the rear lights from their present location and french some into the rear gravel pan. Post more soon, as you can see Jim's not hanging around. Paul
As a past '55 Panel owner I'm gonna miss that flamed truck of yours, you should have bought another one for this project! Good luck anyway, its in good hands at Jim's! See you in the summer mate! L.P.
Here's a pic of Worn Shoes,Shoebox. He's another wheelchair bound HAMBer! Great guy...don't see him too much, but he and his dad came to the HAMB BBQ last year...He also has a '53 Ford and a RPU!!!

Do they have hand controls, or any adaptations? Yeah, Jim's a madman. Let me see. . . . . . . How do I describe the colour scheme? Take a little Bad Bobs Merc, some Watson panels and a shitload of red flake, shake 'em up in a tin, and wait and see what comes out.
