Wow. Those pipes rock. I'll have to tag this one for later reference when I ever get past my sons' trucks and on to my own! I love it so far. Keep it up!
Time for that old favorite, before and after. Before: After, without the ugly-assed filler tube; Next up turning this; into this; I mean, I know a door has got to have hinges but..... well..... DAMN!
Nice work Paul....Just a thought, with regard to the petrol cap location (notice I didn't say gas cap...) you may wanna have Jim pop a small rubber mat type thing over it to stop all the crap getting thrown all over it, and jamming the lock up also...
Just my ideas Nick, Jim Turnbull & Gary Powell doing all the dirty work, bless their cotton socks. See ya in the summer Dave,I'll put a condom over it ;-)
Wow...Will be looking for updates on this. Its coming along really nice, and I like the way it is looking...
Good call Nick I wasn't at the swap meet. Kripfink identification goes as follows; Fat Rocker Quiff and Sideburns Turn-ups and winklepicker boots Powered Wheelchair with shrunken head dangling Iron cross on back of chair Usually shouting and swearing profusely Just don't bring your children with you, I might frighten them and I don't want you having to answer the "Daddy, who was that mad old man in the wheelchair?" question.
AAHH Paul theres no escaping now I know what you look like.Thank fuck I didn't say anything to that bloke at the swat meet, he'd of though I was a right Dick!Paul my kids won't be frightened of you, take a look at my profile and look at one of the pictures of me, if you DARE, be warned it ain't a pretty site!Swearing and shouting, thats how men are supposed to behave ain't it?Funny about the ''mad old man'' bit, they say things like that about me in work, come to think of it so do my damn kids! Nick.
With the body-mods almost done, apart from the tail gate, we got a bit of decent weather and decided to roll her out so we could get a better look at the overall effect and I have to say, I'm a happy bunny. She has to sit with a rake to accomodate the weight of me in my power chair on the rear axle but as I've never been a fan of "slammed" vehicles, I can live with that and besides, her stance kinda reminds me of the kustom twin 58 chevys featured in the jalopy journal a while back. Since then, we've managed to get the front end and doors in primer and, although this is by no means the finished effect, here's, in it's very basic form, a taste of what's to come. More to follow soon. Paul
OMG that flake is SICK!!!! This is turning out nice. I like the side pipes, stance is right on, and the rear is really clean. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Eric
Could you please shoot a couple of interior detail shots of the hinge relocation on the rear doors...that looks great!
WOW...is that coming along nice! That is going to look sick with that flake...holy $hit!! Thanks for the update.
Woah boys, thanks a lot but it's actually silver flake(trick of the light)basecoat and it's getting kandy red and black over it in some places (however, you'll still be able to see plenty of the flake underneath.) As far as the rear door hinges go, they're not in place yet but as soon as the tail-gate is complete I'll post up some real good clear shots. Thanks again Paul
