Well I have wanted a flathead cad to put into a roadster for a few years now.. I always keep my eyes opened for them. But never seem to run across a running one or they are too far away. Then I found this one that was supposed to be running.. It was out in the middle of no where.. So I called up Mad Fabricator man Evel. We took off on a little road trip. .

There it was. A giant sprayer.. With a Flathead cad engine.. It ran like a dream..

So we pulled it out and took it with us..
I just need a multi carb intake and some heads for it..
    And a roadster body!!

In trade for Evels help. I took off his harmonic balancer!!!!! What a deal

  2. Nice score. Dig those sungl***es too :)

I just got my mullet cut. . HA HA HA. . Those gl***es were from the old guy I bought it from. He thought Evel was getting too excited and didn't want me to get anything in my eye!!!!

cool find gotta love how the exhaust comes out

  15. VERY cool grab......welcome to the flathead Cadillac club....be prepared for nobody here knowing nothing about these things!!!

Yours is a little more complete than mine, but at least I've LUCKILY landed a pretty complete rebuilt kit and gasket set from an Oz HAMBer.

For heads and intake, you might struggle...they're usually BIG bucks....and hard to come by. I'll be making my own dual carb intake.

did i see that sprayer listed on craigslist a few weeks back??

  17. Cad flat v8 on e-bay right now ends in an hour or so sitting @ $100 last i looked. its in Virginia, search e-bay motors "cadillac motor" and it should come up if any ones interested. What a kick *** motor, I think you should have put an axle on the front of the sprayer , cut a bigger hole in the tank for a seat and made a Spray rail job out of it!

    Savage and Peddro,

should you happen upon an intake and set of exhaust manifolds(serviceable),

i have a friend looking for some.

    his is a 1920 caddy.

looks similar to the ones one the engine hanging.

    thanks

Did I hear somebody say Caddie Flattie? Yeah baby, cool find you got there and welcome to club also! These things really rock! I have one in my T-Tudor, such a heavy ****! I really want to see that one in your Roadster!

This picture is so beautiful, thanks to HAMB-member Blacksix:

BTW: I wonder if somebody know where can I find new sparkplugs for 346? I got everything else from the US except them.

I think that is about as close to an "airplane inspired" looking motor as you can get.

  24. Mika, I'm actually going to machine my heads to accept later (more readily available/better) plugs.

  25. I'm picking up a flat head cad for my model A. I'm actually going to make my own aluminium heads. there is a foundry down from my work. and then all i got to do it fly cut it and maybe port em. then im going to make a wax molding of my super secret squirel intake, have them fordge that.then seening if i can get isky or engle to re-grind the cam.
