Again, a picture of a picture.... This is Ed's other Model A coupe... couple clues missed include the 4 bar and headlight stands..... but what an awesome running & riding Hot Rod. The car Ed was just finishing when I met him.... I did do the final alignment on this car.

  11. encouraged by your build and the driving reasons and forces, and trust that your friend's health improves, god willing.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

P.S. what rear spring did you end up using out of curiousity?

Harms Way, lifting prayers to our merciful Savior on behalf of our brother Ed and his family. The love you have for Ed and his family is evident and I pray that God will give Ed the health and healing he needs so that he can fire that bad boy coupe up this spring!

May God continue to bless you as you all work to get the coupe done for Ed.

    Take care brother.

    Thor

Very nice build! Working on an "A" like this, what rear spring did you use-what is the drop on the front axle? It's amazing how Hot Rods bring people together as TRUE friends!! Prayers for your friend!

The rear spring, is actually a unpacked 1940 Mercury front spring. I had two left in the parts pile. The front axle is an old 32-36 Maximum drop from Mor-Drop from back in the 60's or 70's , My guess is 3-1/2" to 4",...

Funny I spoke to Fast Eddy this morning and he was telling me about the 50+ cars he has built over the years including this chop he did for you and your grandson. Ed is an iconic hot rodder and I dream to be just like him.

Harm, Ed is blessed to have a friend like you. I'm 70 and know what friendship means to you as a person grows older, it certainly does help that journey! Prayers from NH to the Good Lord to bless Ed with a summer of cruising in that coupe! So many illnesses are helped, albeit maybe not cured, by humor and happiness. You guys are offering Ed one big vitamin pill of happiness with your efforts. Hang in there Ed!!!

Harm, wow, good on you to go above and beyond to help a friend out in need! That is awesome. I send my prayers out to him that he gets better and can continue on! On the coupe, you guys are doing awesome work! It's very cool that his son and your sons get involved too. You can't beat that!
