Looks awesome. Where did you get the water cross over, or is it a modified stock piece?

Well guys, a lot has happened.

The car preformed perfectly on the maiden voyage, and Fast Eddy got a ride in it. He loved it. After his surgery, Ed was doing better than expected.... But then his walker caught on a chair and he slipped on a tile floor,.... Ed fell backward and broke his back.

That's when his liver started to fail again..... Fast Eddy crossed the finish line a week ago today. He will be missed more than I can express.... But ! We got that Hot Rod done..... And that big, stupid Hot Rod grin was on Fast Eddies face one last time..

Yes,.... All that work was well worth it.... So long Ed !,.... Until we meet again.

    Dennis,

My prayers are with Eddie, his family, and all the people who knew him and cared about him. Thank you for sharing your relationship with Eddie with the rest of us, and thank you for filling his life with moments of joy here at the end.

    God speed Eddie...

    Well done Dennis.

    God Bless,

    Thor

Wow, awesome to hear you got the A done and were able to take him for a ride in it! I'm sorry to hear he had the incident and p***ed away. My prayers go out to you and Fast Eddie's family!

Thought you guys would like to see this last picture,... It was the day Ed got a ride in it, (he p***ed away only weeks later) ,.. The picture was taken by his Son after I left, Ed wanted it on the pamphlet/memorial of his life at his funeral. I was surprised and very pleased when I seen it...

Its these stories that make this such a great hobby / work / way of life. You made some great memories for everyone involved. As a bonus the coupe looks great too.

Take comfort in what you accomplished for ED that was a very kind act. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you.

Thanks for sharing this with us Dennis. It gave me a little twinge to see Eddie was born the same year that my dad was - 1941. My dad died back in 2009. We are losing a lot of the guys that started this whole "hot rod" thing that has become a part of our life and the fabric of this country.
