fastback chevy windshield?

My buddy has a 49 or 50 chevy fastback with a heavy chop. He says it has a different windshield than coupes,sedans etc. Is it just taller ?? And since he broke it and I need to cut a new drivers side...does anybody have an extra layin around??? (yes he wants to keep the divider!)

 

I'd probably just go to a gl*** shop and buy a piece of flat safety gl***,.....use the old gl*** for a pattern,...... cut it,......and install. Unless you just want an old piece of gl*** rather than new. Stu

 

uuuuhhh...it's curved safety gl***.

 

The fleetline windshield is about an inch shorter than the sedan windshield, Im pretty sure everything else is the same.

You could ask Bob from Bobs Cl***ic Auto Gl***, He's a HAMBer and sold me a 1 pc for my fleetline.

 

Yea ..he's a swell guy..I ordered some gl*** from him for the 57 wagon.

 

I'm thinkin you could use any 49-52 Chev W/S. Think the cowl is the same...OLDBEET

 

are the pontiac fastbacks the same on windshield? if so, i know where there's one up this direction at my fav yard

 

pontiac,olds and chevy share gl***. the one piece w/s comes from a olds,if your cutting it wouldn,t have to come from a fastback.

 

from what i understand, sedan gl*** should work for a chopped car.
the previous owner of my fleetline said he cut down a sedan windshield to fit because he couldn't find a fleetline screen.

The slopey windshield is shorter like convertible windshield.

THE ONE PIECE WINDSHIELD FOR 49-52 chev IS FOR/FROM OLDSMOBILE which is same fit but one piece.
