68 Charger R/T 440 4 speed. It would run 10.20s on spray.

 

1971 Torino Cobra 429 SCJ. Maybe a high 12 second car.

1975 Ford 460 made 218 net horsepower at 4400 rpm and 365 ft lb of torque at 2660. Curb weight 3600?(guess)

My quickest ride is my current 2R Studebaker . 467 cid Poncho , 4X heads , Ram-Air IV cam , 9.5:1. Torquer II single plane and 750 cfm , headers . Prolly around 400 hp . It must be fast , I'm the first one to the gas station every day .

The sad thing is, the fastest car I've ever owned was a Cavalier that was sprayed to a 13.3 at 105 MPH. This weekend that will change as the '65 Nova will be swapped to a 350 horse 350. That should be good for 12's on drag radials.

tube chassis anglia.... small roller big block... the car didn't get stupid fast until the day before i sold it....after i put on a new carb....then it was crazy.... really regret not doing the carb swap sooner....i would have had more fun with the car....the previous owner had went 10.30's @ 135-ish... with a flat top 580 solid lifter 461....it was a lot of fun to drive around on the street and expressway....too bad that summer was HOT.... saw the car after the new owner had finished it.....in the gg's gazette last fall.... orange pearl with a blown 427 looking nothing like it did........ brandon

Nothing was done to it but a holley carb swap. The 9 sec at a 1/4 mile was done to weeks after the car was brought new in 75. After that night daddy never took it to the track again but raced it on a 1/4 mile bridge a few mile from the house. He blow the motor in it when I was seven years old and sold it. Good times. It's hard to belive the only car to ever beat him was a Chevy.

'53 Studebaker 3/4ton with stock flathead 6 - 8.70 quarter mile on 87 pump gas and a load of rocks in the back to keep it fair.

 

That was on some radial slicks but pretty much one legged as the posi was dieing. A ride? You bet! It does feel pretty good.

 

the old stude bullet nose roadster pickup... 388 inch small block with 500 hp nitrous on it without on 112 purple gas it ran 9.80's on the bottle at three diff races it went 8.60's 157 2820 lbs with driver...

 

i can make it around the block in 5 min. on a full charge

My cubic dollars have traditionally been a little short, and, being born with a curse for the love of 4000 pound cars, I would say my '63 Galaxie 4 spd car...11.90 @ 110 mph...
Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze 10.0's out of the truck before next year...

We'll see what I can ring out of the coupe this year, but I refuse to ditch the tri-power to do so...
