So I brought the El camino to the glass companys shop to replace the windshield about 2 1/2 weeks ago, on Monday they said they hoping to have it ready on Wednesday. No phone call, I guess they didn't get it done. At least it's inside. Funny thing is , the name of the company RAPID GLASS CO. Junkyard
it's the same all over about 20% of the Glass shops in Portland send their old cars to me because the cars are older than their installers. To be fair I've installed glass since 1965 (and you can't say that without getting older) I sold my glass business in '92. just work on pre 1970 cars. I'm in awe of all the new cars and tools to work on them. I don't even want to think about working on a new car. I could most likely get done but it might take me a few days to get done and if it was installed correctly? I wouldn't have a clue!! Sorry, good luck I'm sure yours will be just fine
That's my guess too. Probably didn't even order them until they had the vehicle there. Then they're not stuck with glass or shipping charges to return it if you went elsewhere.
They said they had the windshield instock when it was called in. Seemed strange that they would. However they did get the wrong seal the first time. So who knows. I think the other thing is they are working on it in they're spare time, I told them no hurry(opps). Junkyard
that's the problem! with everyone else pushing them it to get their stuff done ASAP...if you say "no hurry" it will not get done in a hurry
