well i dont have the car anymore, had a 1938 Plymouth Buisness 6 but just sold it to a buddy of mine and he's making it a cruiser.. anyways.. it was 10.694 at late 130ish, there has to be someone on here who's got better numbers than that
not anymore, had pics from 2 years ago or so, but my gf took them to oregon with her to see her parents, her dad is a big traditional rod guy so he wanted to see my pictures from the drags, i dont know what happened to them after that. i'll do some digging after work tomarrow i gotta have more somewhere i took a **** load of pictures of it.
I`d be interested to see who has the fastest Bonneville Time slip...my money is on Dan Warner...220 plus, and a Red Hat.....my timeslips from there and El Mirage are all under 130..( so embarr***ing....)
My Quickest ET to date: 11.74@117mph @ Houston Raceway Park My Fastest Top Speed: unnofficial 218mph @ Bonneville My Quickest time between speeding tickets: 14 minutes, I-10 San Antonio
Havent run mine yet to know...Isnt shakey puddin running in the 10's with his shoebox chevy?....if you consider that a hot rod..
gear jammer had a carbed flathead powered rail that ran 10.38's back in the 80's. somewhere there's a pic of me sitting in it when I was about 6 lol. I wanna say it was over 320 cubes too. was a BIG motor.
I hope to have my AA/FD done and tested soon (6 weeks) SHOULD run low sixes/high fives at 230 to 250. Crowerglide will be the pilot. I will be learning the ways of the ***** godess nitro from my very experienced crew chief. I have gone 130 mph in the eighth mile when I had my Falcon.... I was sideways in the middle of a complete 360 when I went through the traps...large pucker factor. Brad
I would be willing to bet that Crowerglide has the fastest ET and mph of registered HAMBers- unless you count Tony Pedregon Brad
just now gettin it running right , but at 3/4 throttle it went a 10.22 not bad i guess, becks plym coupe has been 9.80's i think ....
last year hooley got his record in the 974 studebaker at 236.9 with a terminal back door of 241 sbc on gas........
I saw where Bardahl posted he had been over 300 in a modern TF car and 298 upside down(!) so maybe second or third place for me? My best was a 5.62/250 mph about 26 years ago. Dave
Lemme guess, you got the speeding tickets north of San Antonio around Live Oak? That place is notorious for speed traps. And 218 ain't too damn shabby if you ask me.
I think Shakypudding was down around 9.20 in the quarter when he was at Pinks All out. That car is the cats ***! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKxV4bpb_aY
