180 on my old cbr1000rr crotchrocket mighta been a little faster I had to let off it to look down at the speedo. In a car 150 in an v8 audi s4 not driving tho.

140ish in a 76 trans am.the speedo was at 2k @60mph ,3k @100 mph and with 4 people in it it would run up to 4200rpm.Don't exactly how fast that was.really floaty though.160 indicated on my 1270 z1 kawasaki.
140mph (227km/h) with a 1993 Dodge Stealth and 42mph downhill, wind in the back, head in the cluster with my Honda aero50 1986 scooter!
Went 7.77 @ 180 at Roy Hills school some years ago & the best in my personal car is 8.68 @ 168 both in door cars

True story, I hit over 500 mph coming back from Vegas just last week. Almost fell asleep too, good thing the pilot was doing his job. Oh yeah, as a side note I did not see a single rod the entire week I was there. Blue 71-72 Chevelle ragtop and the usual Ferraris and Lambos (and Rolls and Aston Martins and Bentleys).
I've gone 130 on the back of a Honda CBR 600 in a 30 mile zone. I've gone 80 on the back of the same bike, same road on one wheel. And no telling how fast I've traveled in airplanes, but I couldn't see the speed-o.
155 on a 1982 honda cx td650 turbo , that was one EVIL bike. loved it till it threw a rod at 110 and spewed it's oily gutts on the road, i was lucky it didn't lock up and kill me.
1999 in the corvette caravan to bowling green, in my 96 grandsport, i got up to 141 according the the digital dash, would've been alot higher if i would've shifted down to 5th... again in 2003 in the caravan in my 2003, 50th anniversary vette, this time in 5th gear, i got up to 165.... twice was enough, now i seldom go over 100 in my 06' vette
Well, the avatar Plymouth has no speedo, but as far as I can tell my tach calibration is dead on! I can also tell you that the back window comes out at exactly 142! 'Course aerodynamics run out at about 135 or so... counter steering is the name of the game at that point. Long empty straight roads out here in the west make for some very tempting tests of speed. With the current gearing and Tremac overdrive trans 2550 is 100, and it's way too comfortable doing that. Better yet, out here that won't get you a second look from most highway patrol...
in 1972 a buddy bought a 71 Mercury Cyclone GT and we broke it in by going 155 down my mom's road, it is a mile long and dead straight. Thinking back we where on nylon corded tires and no seat belts...guess I had a purpose in life, OH and I worked at a Yamaha shop here in 73, a 1973 RD350 Yamaha 6 speed will do 125, down Callaway Rd...
1963 split window corvette, big block, tri-power, 4 speed. It had a 160 mph speedo and from the passenger seat I could tell it was pegged. We made it from West Bremerton to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (approximately 30 miles) in 8 minutes. We needed beer and for some reason we thought we could only get it in Tacoma. Impaired judgement, maybe? I remember the center line looked like one continous line. You couldn't do that now, way too much traffic...
186 mph, Kawasaki zx-10.... computer shuts down at 186. Before that it was 155 mph, Triumph 955i .... computer shuts down at 155 It all looks the same after 150
as a passenger, about 160 going around homestead speedway as a driver, only about 120 in a modded 06 duramax
I was only a passenger, one of 5 in the car, but close to 140 mph in a Holden Premier, we were chasing a Corvette who was chasing a Porsche.
dont know exactly how fast it was but in my first 69 dodge charger s/e 318 YES 318 speedo goes to 150 and on the speedo the 150 mark is around 5o'clock the needle was pointing straight down around 11 pm (right infront of tri-state dragstrip) racing a iroc camaro which was being driven by a uniformed cop on his way to work my fastest speeding ticket 125 in a 25 in a 84 dodge daytona turbo i got lucky because at the time i hadnt had a ticket in over a year and was real respectfull to the officers he wrote it up for 100 in a 25 told me if he wrote it for 100 over it meant an imeadiate trip to jail ...........
i wrapped the speedo in my 67 chevy p/u. im guessing 120-130 mph range. 327/th400. geared for the highway. it was a blast but it tends to float from lane to lane on its own lol. fun little truck thats forsure
i had a ricer bike when i was younger, my buddy lee, brian, and tracy went out riding up the highway 126 all the way to ventura ca. on the way back right near the 5 freeway my buddy passed me up and i was like fuck no you didnt, i dropped it in to a lower gear and flew right passed him!!! the 5 freeway came up real quick, i looked down and i was doing 190!!!!! it scared the crap out of me. it was a modified bike, cause no way a stock suzuki could do that, maybe a hyabusa but not the gsxer! i dont know how we didnt get spotted by the CHP! they are everywhere on that highway! going that fast was not that bad as long as i didnt know my speed, seeing it made me think slow down!!! as the saying goes to be old and wise, you must be young and stupid!!!
I got my ass chewed by the top seargent for 85 on the autobahn in a M151 Jeep. Speedo wrapped to the backside of the pin. Not my fastest, but a funny story.
