I am doing a 58 Impala for a guy and he is wanting a tuck and roll interior. There is no one in my area that does em and I heard of a guy out of Austin by the name of Fat Lucky, anybody here ever done buisiness with the guy? I trust you guy's opinion so let me know. Hell. maybe he's a member here. Thanks
you must be new around these parts, check the archive, Fat Lucky rules. I heard people as far away as Michigan use him
Here are a couple of pics of Ken and Vicki's caddy interior. I"m at work so I stole it from wingman's photobucket LOL I'm sure neither Ken, Vicki or Wingman will mind He is doing Denise's "Big Olds" right now also
The South Austin Speedshop is in transition it seems. No project pics of Fat Luckys work. Who else has pics of his interiors? Any pics of McPhail's '56?
Here is the link NONAME spoke of. Our software programs from work are down so I'm a little bored LOL http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83191&highlight=fat+luckys+rules
you bet he's famous even in Mexico...not kidding! an artist on upholstery, check it out here on hamb some pix... never dealt myself but price will be probably related to his 1st class work... if you can afford it GO for IT!!!
I have personally seen about 20 of his interiors in person. Like others have stated my '47 Olds convert is there right now and is slated to be done in approx 2 weeks. There is no one better in my opinion for the unique-ness and style. Jesse's Merc Blake's Finkd's Caddy in progress Slick50 and Vicki's Caddy McPhail's JohnJoyo's Merc Truck
I have a seat for my bike he did that look's great! Granted, not nearly as complicated as a car, but i've seen many pics of those as well and from those pics and what i have i'd say he's top notch.
you can't go wrong with fatlucky's I personally have 2 of his interiors, and have had 2 other cars that I painted done there as well.
Sean is a ruler! Give JonJoyo a ring and get on the list. 512.693.7277 Check out my Rivi pics in this thread that Sean did for me a little over a year ago. I had the car back over there a month ago to do the trunk that I didn't have done the 1st time around.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116391 Just one shot. Thats Mother of Pearl inlaid all the way around.
Damn those are some awesome interiors. Thanks guys for the lnks and the recommendation. I am new around the Hamb I appreciate your help. Yeah, I will definetly use this guy. Thanks.
THAAANNKS, Debb. We are very happy with the work Sean did on our Caddy and will recommend his work without hesitation!
..and Denise is well aware, if she get's Big Olds during Thanksgiving and comes through Dallas, she needs to CALL ME..........hehehehe Fat Luckys stuff is Museum quality.
Here is a link to when we first picked up the Caddy after Sean worked his magic, as if you need more testaments: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=192565 We love our interior.
He did the interior in the Kandy Tangerine Roadster pick-up we built!! It was amazing to say the least! He is a great guy, with a really good eye. Jimmy White Circle City Hot Rods
What's all the hubbub? The sewing machine makes the interiors, just ask him. "Actually, the sewing machine feeds the thread by itself, I just push the pedal down."
Seans work can only be described as stunning! I hope someday my '63 Poncho is worthy of a Fat Lucky's interior.
Great now the cats outta the bag, we were trying to keep him a secret, so we could have sean all to ourselves. Now his interiors will be like cabbage patch kids, everyone will want one! Well deserved credit, very talented guy, probably the only guy other then jimmy white i would ever let them handle My project with open raign to do as they pleased. jeff
And all this info is delivered to us through the magic internet to the magic HAMB provided by the magic Ryan. Don't look behind the curtain. I'm glad someone else thinks like me.
Doesn't matter WHEN I pick him up I'm still calling you when I head thru town. I do expect a HUGE hug and sloppy wet one from ya!
A1, top notch, talented, driven, no hose shit, great freakin' guy. That's all I got to say about it. He is a magician.
I agree Jeff, I gave him open reign as well. Most of my pals who are not HAMB guys, or car guys, can not understand that concept OR even the concept of taking the car to TX for an interior. All I do is smile a big shit eating grin at them and tell them to just wait and see, then they will understand
