Yep, that is a very cool video. So cool to see the next generation getting into this hobby and “getting it.”
Father / Son builds are great plus. I did a number of racecar builds, with my Son"Lance" and we both got to race together some. As fun as that was, helping him later build his own hot rod*,was really fun too! He picked a 23 T bucket as the style he wanted,"but not a kit",his own design,so found a old used before 23T body with a fair number of holes in it,too patch up. Then built a frame and on n on,even did paint n upholstery together! Sure, I gave advice of a few ways to do things, but he picked or added to that a lot!. Those things made it all extra fun. He parks his in my garage, for now, keeps my hotrod company, townhouse were he lives,so no space.
This really hits home for me. This is pretty much my grandfather and I's relationship. Growing up in the garage with his 55 Chevy and 33 Ford. Going to all the car shows, swap meets, etc. Still going full bore at it today as we are pickin parts and getting ready to sell at the Portland Swap Meet, and kick off hopefully a summer of going to shows again.
Yup, that's what it's all about. I have 3 daughters and we did similar stuff. As adults now they are each still doing car projects with their husbands. Good job Chris & Dean!
