Thanks alot for all the positive comments. My girl is 10. She gets a kick out of helping me in the shop. More than my son of 13. I'm shure it will change in a few years. But we had fun putting it together and I'm really proud of her. We really used alot of different things to ***emble it. Made a frame from scratch. Cut up a two wheeler for motor plate. Pissed my wife off when we stole her wheel barrow. The gas tank is a 5 ltr. New Castle mini keg. We got the sign off of the side of the road for the floor. It had been hit and wadded up. She beat it out flat. Alot came from a go-kart I put together that they out grew.

I listened to some of the Moodswing show yesterday, but I didn't hear what movies are going to be playing. Does anyone here know?

We keep checking the mail for her p***. Mine came in last week. I was joking around with my wife and said "hell that gokart will get more looks than my Rivi". I kinda hope it does. She'll get a kick out of that.

We will have the DOUBLE FEATURE Grind House (planet terror and death proof) along with Sin City!!

It is getting harder and harder to find the older movies in the format the drive-in needs.... If anybody out there knows where to get some of the cool older stuff please let us know!!

Oh and we should have some cool old 60's/70's trailers playing too!!

    bb1970,

What a great project and she wants to drive it into the show??!!! The is the true definition that we try to portray at GREASERAMA!
She is in luck to debut her first hot rod. This year's GREASERAMA theme is paying respect to the lady hot rodder.
This is the thing that makes our show a true family experience.
Looking forward to walking up and meeting you and shaking her hand!

I didn't know there was a theme. That's cool I printed up a sticker that will fit the theme to perfection. You all will have to check it out at the show.

I agree, funny how it does not have a firewall because he already used it as the body. And theres one less wheel barrel for use to do and engine set back with. Killer project you two are doing together.

Her p*** for Greaserama arrived today. She sent her own registration in. She even paid the admission fee herself. So the envelope was addressed to her. I laid it on the counter and told her she got mail when she came in from school. She was excited. She put her p*** on the fridge with a magnet next to mine. I'm really diggin' that she is into this.

She got to drive it into the show! We had some last minute issues that really had her nervous to take it in. She over came the fear of something going wrong and hopped in and drove it in. It got more attention than I ever imagined. It made her proud. And that made me really proud of her. My thanks to all of you that saw it here and told her how cool it was. Special thanks to Eric and Dave. Man you guys really made it a great day for her. Thanks again, Bill

    Bill,

Drop me a private message when you get a chance. I know that you and Erica came back for a majority of the 2nd day, but had to leave.
When we did the award announcements Sunday late afternoon, the PUNK RODS were really hoping she was still around. She was picked to be awarded "Best Lady Hot Rodder" by the club for GREASERAMA '10.
She is the true spirit of our show. She had a vision, built her owm car (go cart) that was a custom, entered the show registration with her own money, got it done and drove into the venue herself!
So let me know when we might be able to get her the trophy.
    Thanks for supporting our show.

Congatulations Erica!!! Can't wait to see what she does to it for next year!

My daughter and I did a 68 Firebird together for her first car, won quite a few trophies. We still have the car, she is 24 married, and just had her first baby. She doesn't work on cars, but we still talk about the build, it is a special memory.
