fathers don't forget your daughter in that build

Both my girls, ages 5 and 2, LOVE old car stuff. I've had to coach them a few times about what is and isn't safe to touch (even the 2yo can reach in and almost touch both terminals on the battery) - it's all about keeping them fascinated with the mechanical and breathing life into that spark of curiosity. I used to teach, and have seen 4th graders that have had that natural fascination with the world stomped out of them.

A pat on the back to all us parents fostering a love of cool old car-stuff with our kids!

 

Mine, she loves to go to shows but still has to get her hands dirty.

 

I have alot of pics of my son helping me build old rods. My daughter is helping me on my old panel. Heres a pic of her welding on my chop job.
She has been so excited learning, and this has been priceless time for us both. Im loving it!

 

Mine gets to help out during school breaks.





& she's been able to run my MM210 since she was 9 (she's now 12)



Now she shows interest in learning how to run my lathes...
