Technical Favorite flap wheels?

    I’ve used the wax on my big Apex disc sander, especially with aluminum. I’ll try it on the cheapie discs and see if it makes a difference.

    When I was working all we used was Benchmark Abrasives or McMaster-Carr for our flap wheels. Do, not waste your money on Harbor Freight abrasives. I purchased a pack of 600 wet or dry sandpaper and the grit came off when the sheets got wet, pure junk.

    ^^^^ That was my experience too but it’s been a long time since I tried them.

    Out of frustration with my Tractor Supply discs , I pulled the G2 disc out of the trash and ground the welds off of the next two boxing plates. Even though it’s worn down to the backing, It rips!!
