FWIW It is my understanding that Mercedes actively goes after anybody that tries to produce a copy of the 300SL. Not sure how they legally do it, but have seen reports of them taking companies to court and having the molds and inventory destroyed. I guess they cant do it to an individual that bought and owns one privately. The one in the picture is one that a customer brought to Kindig-It to have modified and updated if I remember correctly.
