Did you ever have a car that you were sick that you sold and years later you know that the car is possibly still around some place. I had a car like that and it could be identified by the way the doors were leaded in and cut down to allow driver to hop into. The car was a 1932 ford roadster, black body with red radiator shell and red pin stripping. It had yellow naugrahide inside and rolled over the openings on each side where you entered..It had a 1948 mercury engine with twin carbs and finned heads,a lot of chrome could be seen on the engine because it had the hood panels off on each side. The roadster had a rumble seat and a short radio antennae on the rightrear side of the seat. The car had red spoke wheels with white wall tires ,white waklls had white inside and out on each tire.I had this car in 1954 and 1955 and sold it in the fall of 1955.I bought the car in Ashville, N,C, when I was 16. I sold the car to a man from Chattanooga,Tennessee.Just wonder if any one knows anything about the car or where it possibly has ended up after all of these years. The car was a good looking ride and fun to drive.I had a lot of encouraging to sell it from my Dad as He thought that I would probably wreck it and maybe kill myself. I think I sold the car for like $650.00. I remember that the man I sold the car to a man had a new red ford thunderbird and I think that his first name was Max. I have thought about asking about this for some time ,just to see if any one has any information at all. Thanks for reading and any feedback that I may receive.
I think a lot about this '49 Chevy that I build a few years back.....miss it a lot, but wouldn't trace my '63 Biscayne for it back...
After I sell them I hope I never see them again. It would be hard to see a once nice car that someone trashed. Same with houses we have sold. They never look as nice with other peoples stuff in them. Gary
I used to buy and fix up old VW bugs. After I got tired of each one I sold it and started a new project. All but one of them got trashed by the new owners.
I could fill an album with pictures of my regrets, cars I should have kept. Many are not HAMB friendly so I wont piss off anyone with those pictures.
As I read this I think of a 57 Pontiac I let go and.........wait! What about that 50 ford that..............no! The one I regret selling more is.........ah ****, I love most of them and wish I had almost all of them back. I DID have a 66 Lincoln coupe that I wouldn't take back if it was given to me.
