FE Manifold

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 58fairlaneuk, Dec 11, 2006.

  1. Hi there

I have a 335 FE block in my Fairlane.

    On eBay there is an
'Offenhauser Intake manifold for Ford FE 390-428 Big Block Aluminium Dual Port 360',

    will this fit my block?????

    Rob.

i assume you mean 332 as you have an avitar w/a 58 ferd(my 1st car).... yep, it'll fit fine although if you haven't had the iron intake off of your yet, get some help or a cherry-picker....332-428 is the FE series engine

  3. The dual port is a lousy performance design. Not one of Offy's better ideas!! I would look for something else unless you "steal" it. A Edelbrock Performer intake would work much better for a mild to stock FE.

  4. Thanks guys, I'l keep an eye on it.
Anything 'FE' is rare over here!!!
    Currently at about $70 + p&p.

When used on the proper application, the dual port manifold out perfoms the dual plane manifolds. Dual port manifolds provide better low end torque and maintains air/fuel ratio better than dual plane manifolds. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123509&highlight=dual+port
