I never knew that Offy made a 3x2 FE Intake, going through my old catalog in 61 I dont see it listed..I think this kid is smoking dope...But maybe I'm wrong...I found a listing on some really obscure website classified,I dont even know remember the site now and found this listing, has to be a kid,he didnt sound to knowledgeable about cars..listing says I have a 3 carb intake Offenhauser it reads and it was in the trunk of my Galaxie I dont want it make me an offer!! I emailed him and he still has it.. I never seen an Offy 3x2 for an FE I nseen Edelbrocks and factory Fords...Hmm this oughtta be interesting..
Marcus yes they did .I have seen two different versions besides the Factory ones like OLDBEETS got.One the carb bases were like triangular shaped and the other was rectangular.Maybe like for strombergs and carters.Never seen one running before. The factory ones if set up properly will give awsome performance for a long time.Beets got over 200.000 miles on his and still works perfect.---Feder
Yeah I'm a bit familiar with the stock set ups and FE's in general.I had an Edelbrock 3x2 a few years ago for 4 bolt carbs. And this Offy is for 4 bolt carbs also.Damn you learn something new everyday.Funny I was a dealer for Offy for 5 years and never knew they ever made a 3x2 at one time. The only intakes avaialable now are the 2x4's and single four. This most definitely was a cool find. But i wonder how it will work...Like you said the Ford set up is awesome..My buddy ran a FE in a 67 Cougar street car that ran mid 12's with a tri power. Not sure what to run for carbs though...
