How about a '51 Ford convertible with a running flathead for $5800 which is also in Kentucky? It was just posted a couple of hours ago so if anyone is interested they better move fast.... http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/5800298237.html
Good question, seems to be a great start, real deal steel 32. Probably another 15/20 K to finish IMO, could be done for less if you can do paint, engine install, wiring yourself or much more depending on what your skill level is and personal taste, affects finished $$$. Another thought, have seen finished steel cars that appear to be nice from low 40's to 60's, (friend of mine has a beautiful 32 sedan @ 42K, No interest/sale yet) same caliber cars, but glass from mid 20's and up. Thinking the 32 craze has cooled some as there are at least 100+ for sale, finished nice cars, on the net now, Again IMO the Hobby is going through a change now and in the next 10/20 years, the market is going to be flooded with Hot Rods and customs AND you (Ryan) read on this site, you have a huge number of anti 32 member's, too much $$$, cookie cutter, blah blah blah, have read it all in the last 7 years here, had a glass 32 3 window for 7 years, loved it, enjoyed it and moved on to my 51 Merc mild Kustom and a restored stock 51 Buick Roadmaster, my first adventure into a classic car. My 2 cents worth this PM. AND best wishes for a Speedy Recovery !
That '32 looks like a good deal, great start with all the right stuff. Most young guys can't afford it. Guys that can finish it may want to change things, so they are paying for stuff they may not want. Old guys are too old for a project. It will be interesting to see who "Mr. Right" is and were he fits in the age group. Bob
Thanks for the write up boss. I didn't start a build thread here as I was going for a late 60's or 70's look as that's what was on the streets when I was a kid.
Best wishes for a quick and full recovery. Try not to make any big deals with the pain meds on board.
good to hear from you - Thanks for stopping by, and presenting a potential opportunity for someone looking for a '32 project
Eastwood & Barracat part II ??? drive train it up & run it as is!! Less stress than all the polishing & power parking.....

I've been watching that one for awhile, what a great little coupe. It's a deal and even is titled. I'd step up but I've already have three 5W's already. I guess all of us Geezer's are afraid to take on anymore projects. A few years ago it would have sold in a few days.
Quick recovery, but I have to say it.... I sure miss the pain med induced ramblings! Hope you are doing better and fully recovered soon! Pretty soon you'll be like the Bionic Man.
Ryan, good to hear from you. How about a new project for you and "The Blur" (Keith)! Just kidding, but I peruse the classifieds daily and there seems to be some pretty good deals out there. Get well, Carp
I've been watching the project car market in New England for months and haven't seen many cars move unless they're asking pocket change. Some parts have started going, I've even sold some, but big stuff and project cars are still sitting around up here.
Just wish this was about 10 months down the road. I'm trying to get some OT vehicles ready to sell for funds to put towards a retirement gift/project..
Sign of the times maybe... cash is tight for many. These days, if it's not a downright steal, it doesn't move quick.
And here is another 5W that is a pretty good deal........ http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...932-5-window-barn-find.1034133/#post-11714344
I'd love to have something like that 32 to drive everyday. But the reality is I'm still playing with model A money. I can have 2 or 3 A's for that kind of cash. Sent from my SM-G900T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
