Featured Threads: Random?

I would ***ume that they are not random, but chosen by mods. But some of the choices seem to leave me scratching my head.. random cl***ifieds? Semi-off topic threads?

Just curious.

 

Pretty sure they go by most views/replies.

It's not just the best traditional hotrod or custom threads get "featured" but its what the m***es look at most that get them a feature category. ( sometimes like a wreck gets a bunch of looks or looking up into the sky gets an entire city block doing it too) Then everyone looks to see what's "feature" worthy and there you have the strengthening and fortified position of the nonsense being featured.

 

I find it interesting that the "what are you doing to get ready for the meltdown" thread never made it. Not that it really matters - or does it?

 

Hey! You just revealed the secrets of how "social media" works!

 

I tend to see some of the same features each time I get on. Kinda wonder if it "feeds on itself" by getting clicks cause it comes up often and people like me click cause I perceive it as being something taking off in discussion. Make sense?
