    Thanks guys:)

The pass on the video was not the best, one other it actually smoked the tires in the burnout:) ET 11.34 sec. but bad 1/8 time, picked up some speed in the end:) But lot more to go on.
First we need to get some decent 60 footers, then a good 1/8th time, last is to open the high-speed to get down to the right ET's.....:)

Thought I share the solution to the water pressure valves (overflow).
As we had some leftovers from the "Harvester", I thought it would be a good idea to use two bypass valves to control water overflow.
Look better than two large radiator caps on top!?

We route a hose from the small tank to an canister behind my back, don't wanna spill water in front of the rear tires;).

We have now started to do some more modifications for the next race.
Intake needs to come off, and we're gone make some braces for the "ears"
as they bent upwards when we tightened the blower.
Next is to modify the magneto for 0. degrees of advance. Got to borrow a magneto, so I have already changed the neck to fit it.
Gone mount a quick release on the steering so I will be getting in and out easier:)

Finally, Doc Eriksen has OK'd The Sidewinder, but we need to do a test Thursday:) Got it together this evening, and filled it up with Alky, then fired right up.....:)

Here are some pictures of the last modifications. Made a zero advance locking plate for the magneto, new clamp, braced the intake and mounted quick release steering for easy entry/exit:)

Test 'n Tune today was really a god one. We didn't alter anything, and now other adjustments than we had done before.
Sorry guys, no video:(! I had hit the wrong button, so instead of video I got interval pictures:(.
The Flathead responded really god, and I think we all where pretty satisfied, you agree Roger and Dr. Eriksen:D?

But next time I have to remember to put on the wheeliebar......:D!?

That's a good statement Carl:) Should text that some where:)

While waiting for the next race, I decided to use one of my summer holiday weeks and do some useful stuff...:) Enclosed trailer need some new paint badly. So this how it turned out:) And Buddy, I was not mocking you:) I really understand that you need one. It's so much easier packing and finding stuff at the track. Plus it's also comfortable:) Now we have beds and running water too, luxury:D!

And I was also thinking of the environment, so it was time to recycle the Oil:) Uhmmm, smells good:D.

Thanks for the kind word Buddy:) The Flatcad crew in a major inspiration:)! We put on a checker-flag tape between the black and white. looks better now:) I'm currently working on different options. We hope to land some sponsors that will have their logo on the trailer. I'm in the talks with a very known compressor/air-tool company/dealer:)......

The Sidewinder is now loaded, an we will hit the road Friday morning:)
My good friend Tor is driving his very cool 59 T-bird down, and I'll go with him. We hope to have the tents up, when Doc. Eriksen, Mrs.Eriksen and Roger comes with the dragster...:)

    See ya:)

Hello;) Sorry for the late report:) I have been busy the last days, also trying to recover from the last weekends big party:)
We got down to Kjula Friday afternoon, just to found out there was 200 teams waiting in line. Well inside we got up the tents and settled.
Roger had made a tool tray, just as the pro teams:) It served also a table for the cans, In the evening:D.
Fun night, but woke up to rain, not a good day for racing;( We got one pass in the afternoon, just to find out that we where on the right track, but way off target, 11,7 sec ET. Sunday was great with no rain:)
First pass after leaning got the "winder" down to the first 10,7 sec ET.
Felt better, butt still way to fat. We decided to take small steps, and leaned some more. Second pass of the day was straight into eliminations,
and that pass was the first one that felt OK, 10.3 sec ET. Still too rich.
So we got one more shot on the 9 sec target, adjusted the RPM limiter to 7K and shift light to 6K. Was really ready to get her out and perform, BUT a stupid driver fu..c..kt up the run:mad: Dam. I'm an Idiot shifted way to early, not once, but twice:eek::mad:!
All in all we where happy to get the "Sidewinder" in the 10.sec ET's.
and that with only 14-15 psi of boost:D!

That was my problem too!:D LOL!

  22. Hell - seems that Buddy and Kjeil have both gone to the same 'shifter' school! The one where you add a few 'extra' virtual gears - simply by shifting more times than you have physical gears! :D

I think the new motto is: "Shift early and shift often!"

PS: I'm not one to talk - I've had my share of fun over the years.

Sounds like great fun - you'll be in the 9's for sure!

Damn Kjell she looks like a jewel, all I can say is wow, I'm too damn lazy to do all that polishing............

and Dale, with all that hp Buddy doesn't have to know how to shift........put er in high, spin her to 7000, drop the clutch and when the tires stop spinning you got it!!!

  24. Hey Carl . . . I like your way of thinking - keeps things simple!

And Thanks' guys for the kind words:)! Yes the "Winder" is shining, the motto is, "if you can't beat them on the track, kill them in the pits":D.

After the last weekend, I'm looking for a pulley set, 43 & 65 tooth 8mm pitch.

    Here is why..........>

Yes computers are a great invention;) But todays case, where I put an add out wanted to buy blower pulleys, I didn't have to. My good friend had them on the shelf:D.
So now is the question, would I try to use them;)?
They look like the "Sidewinder" would start to "wind":D?

Or should I stay with the V-belts?
