Sorry if I somehow missed the early body mods. Is that a steel or glass body you stated with? Just don't understand all the strips holding things together. Sould look just like an early '60's build, I remember a Hot Rod cover with something like it.
I started with a quicky glass body that was done as part of the set for a photo shoot, the strips will come of once its all glassed inside, it looked like this when I got it
Happy with how it looks with the body on so did a mock up of the front end that I have had in my head, think its going to work out ok
The roof line is awesome, and the pic from the front looking in the car is spot on bad-ass. looks well thought out, and great choice on the engines, keep us posted, Andy
Made a start on the front end and the first engine is built thanks to gary hes got the other one now so wont be long and all the drivetrain will be done
Was there ever a response to this question? For, uh, educational reasons... (ccugh... samethingwithahyperpakslantsix...cough) JK
JK I love that twin I based my chassis/wheelbase on it and Ive got all the pics of up in the shop for motovation
Like I have said before , this car is kick ass. Body is perfect. BUT I would re think the front suspension. Why not a leaf spring. In my opinin the coils just makes the front look too bulky, or after thought.
King, I`am not 100% decided on the front end, until I have all the weight on it to see how much they go down, cos they do look a bit high at the moment, also very happy to find pics of this on the red page! http://twotogo.homestead.com/TwoToGopage3Untitled1.html
Cool project! I am also curious on your choice of coils on the front. Asthetics aside, seems like weight would also be a factor.
A little more done on this, found some 3" lower coils for the front that suits it better, upper chassis rails are in and BIG thanks to gary engine No2 is built!, picked it up today along with my newly blasted inlets, I
Yes its trevs handywork, he turned me up flanges to mount the blank greek couplers rings, had to try all the drive train in and it fits!
Damn you guys... Just when I was content with my own junk, you fabricating geniuses start building uber cool stuff like this... Now i want one. Dammit !!
Due to a severe! lack of funds only small bits and peaces are gettin done on this, but heres first pics on the floor with both engs in with very mocked up pipes, cant decide yet how the real ones should be..........
Ilove it 'Moon, the coupler is a piece of work, beautiful! Wish I could help ya, if there is anything let me know. I dunno about England but over here in the US you can buy EMT Bends (Conduit) at the hardware store, not a new trick as I've learned they were used in the early day of Drag Racing. Rocky
