Exactly Reynolds, the media and war have definately watered down the meaning of death, i believe Joseph Stalin said it best, "The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of one million is a statistic." people theese days view death as a statistic, and not as the loss of a human life. My deepest condolences to his family.

I was at the drags, didnt meet him,but sure remembered how much fun it looked like him and Tommy were having racing each other,I seem to remember them making several passes, and nothing but smiles from everyone that was watching.Hope his family knows that they and him will be in many prayers tonight.

My condolences to the family. Ryan what do you think of the earlier suggestion for a auction with the benefits to the family.

I had a nice B.S. session with Jerry at the HAMB drags. He was a good hearted guy. Wasn't the least bit pissed that Tommy won every time they raced.....I was really hoping to see him again this year....damn!

Well,*****. Condolences to the family. I've got a friend who was lucky. He stopped to help someone and got caught between the 2 cars when a third car**** ended his. They were way off the road too. Dumb******** 1/2 asleep thought he was following those tail lights. Realized they weren't moving too late. Luckily my buddy lived but his legs aren't the same. I think the auction is a good idea too but I'd suggest a raffle. That way all the money goes to the family, not just the winning bid.

  15. Hate to hear of his passing -seems like he was well l;iked and a good person.
I suppose we all should deal with others with this in mind-Life is a like fleeting, quickly passing moment, and should never be taken for granted.
We as Members of the Hamb should try to do something in memoriam.

A group of us HAMBers have just had a wonderful day working on Denise's Big Olds. It could not have turned out any better. It was one of those events that will live with all who were there as a fond memory.
I come in the house, exhausted from a hard day of play and work and the first thread I click on is this one. Going from a great high to this is very sobering. It makes you understand how fragile life is. My prayers go out to the family, may they be comforted in this very sad time.

Man that is a shame. I met him out at the drags last fall and found him to be a very personable guy. He went out of his way to make a group of out of towners welcome and seemed to have a blast amongst us.

    He will be missed.

As per Johnny's suggestion of an auction ...if something gets organized I would be willing to donate a little piece of "art" to help.
