It's not a felony. The cop was trying to get you to stop doing whatever you were doing, so that he wouldn't have to come back to take any kind of action. In other words, let's just say...the cop was chilling, reading the paper and drinking a cup of coffee, he gets a radio call for a car doing burnouts at a certain location... His reaction will be "wtf" , he'll put down his coffee and paper , drive over to the location, tell the guy some bullshit to get him to knock it the fuck off, and then return to his coffee and paper. That's what I'm guessing happened to you. Take it from someone who does this around 20 times a night.

here in Minnesota i heard if you are caught going over 100 MPH its a 6 month license loss & maybe some jail time. thats all thanks to the punks on crotch rockets. usually the cops are cool if you light the tires a little bit & they can see its probably something you dont do all the time.
BUT cops are dicks DIRTY MUTHA FUKERS -cops stick with cops- never trust a cop!
ive never been arrested or put in jail (should of a few times, driving hard)
BE "EXTRA" NICE when they pull you over!

.......I really wish you older guys would cut some slack to the younger generation, you always thinks that your right on everything and we are just dumb kids passing time in the parts store drawing a check.

There's a right time and place for almost anything but if you're doing something stupid or dangerous to other people or others property then you deserve it because as far as I'm concerned it shows nothing more than immaturity and lack of respect. But as far as it being a felony, that has got to be bullshit cause it's just too hard to believe.

Strange as it seems, you can do burn outs in my town no problem, you
could make a set of tires out of all the rubber left on my business parking
lot after a weekend of nothing else to do but do burnouts at the parts
store....but you can NOT cruise in town, two passes on the same Blvd
in a half hours time and you get a ticket for cruising...and dont even
think about getting out of your car at one of the three drive ins in town..
one national chain has a huge sign at their entrance....and signs
on either side of the building...that says, order, get your burger, eat it
and get the hell off my parking lot, city has a new regulation that says
you have to stay in your car and not visit with other burger eaters...go figure

My neighbor used to have a Vega with a 350 and a real "short" gear in it (don't ask, it was late 70s/early 80s and poor taste and bad judgement were in style). His pops kept raggin' his ass about barkin' the 50s when he backed out of the driveway. That was until he tried driving it himself. He chirped at idle backing up. After he'd lost the debate he stomped on it and we didn't see him for about an hour and a half when he rolled in with the tank empty and the floorboards smoking. Oh yeah, forgot to mention he was the Police Chief! Used to be a pretty cool town until the Nanny Nazis and Birkenstock Bolsheviks started movin to the sticks. It ain't as bad as some of the SoCal horror stories on this board yet..... but yet is the operative word!

What you should be more worried about is the letter you should be recieving shortly (if you haven't already) that states that you'll have to pay a $100 fine every month for having more than 3 moving violations IN A 3 YEAR PERIOD. If I can stay clear for another 6 months, I'm off the hook; good thing low-rid-er don't drive to fast!:D

Last ticket has been quite awhile back, I had my license suspended for 6 months. That was back about four years ago, I had just heard about this being a new rule and was curious. I dont drive my car on a daily basis like I used to.............
