fender or side cowl vents

    Looking for pictures of any fender vent or side cowl vents, from the 30''s 40's 50's 0r 60's my buddy has an idea for his project but wants something that doesn't look modern :eek:

    What kind of car build?

    There were some on a few makes right around 1930..hard to find donors to cut out though. Like maybe 1930 Dodge?

    Also, look at 47-48 Studebaker, and 1951-only VW bug. The VW ones are not rectangles like most cars had, the front edge is a mild V, like a blunt pointed front.

    You could almost mod a typical Ford type top cowl vent to look like that by sectioning it, so it's not so long/wide. But then you need parts from 2 identical donor cars. Look at any US car cowl vent from 30s to WW2.
