Art & Inspiration Fender Skirts, a bunch

    In the newly opened exhibits at the Petersen, there are a number of '30s-'40s cars with fender skirts in a remarkable variety of styles. I thought it was interesting to compare them. All of these are custom made, but there may be useful style ideas here:

    I like the Alvis skirts too; in fact, I like the whole cars. The skinny whitewalls on the green car are anachronistic, but I think the car looks great with them.
