Fender Skirts

I'm installing skirts on the Studebaker and was wondering if fender welting or some other material was used to prevent the skirt from rubbing the fender. Thanks. Joe

 

Most of the skirts had a rubber seal, in the area at the top, where it meets the fender.

Here is a source for new seals and some universal brackets.
Chevy parts, but they may work for your application.

 

they also keep road crud from coming between your skirt and lower fender they leave nasty drool marks on your fender skirt if you get in any water

 

Try restorationspecialties.com or Steele rubber products they have lots of rubber seals.
