Boy that black chassis sure looks nice with the dark blue. I'm going with dark blue on my 31 coupe and was going to color match the chassis. This sure turned my head around !

DSCN2556.JPG This works for me on this car, but on a gow job it would be a different story. I love the model A in the first pic. jim32

  6. I'm with PnB on this one. From a strictly practical point of view, I need to get the frame dialed in before I do the body and paint work on the car. I can't plan far enough ahead to know what color the car will eventually be, so black always works. Besides, the black frame just says that you mean business. Harder to make that statement when everything is all pretty and matching.

Black frame with a color body shouts traditional, particularly with green or blue. But I've seen some very nice frame matching cars. ( When I was a lush, I liked Miller light over Fruit Loops cereal.)

    My view also.

My problem when deciding on mine, was I really don't like dark paint colours  but prefer the look of a black frame etc.
The paler body colour won the fight, so my frame will be coloured matched.

Awesome! What is that color, I may want to steal it from you and use it. Got a link to more pics?

edited: Found your album, very nice. I love that car. I do really like that color.

  15. I totally missed your question, my apologies. My Model A blog has tons of pics, but its a Ford 9" with a transverse leaf spring. Since I re-purposed my old bucket frame you can see it in this pic next to the body.
