Technical Fenton Headers for a 8ba Flathead

    Hello question on fenton headers what type of bolts are you using to mount you headers to the flat is 1x1/4 to long to use or stick with a 1 inch long bolt cant find the 1x1/8 long bolts any thoughts thanks

    Length of bolt is entirely dependent on how thick the manifold is. Some may be planed down in the past so they'd use shorter hardware than a NOS thick casting. If you're looking to get 1-1/8" bolts, you can just use a 1-1/4 and use a grade-8/thick washer, or you can cut down the 1-1/4" bolts by 1/8". Alternatively, studs and flange nuts work well, and then you can set to your desired depth.

    don't forget there are two different bolt thicknesses if ordereing something non stock
    oh and with some headers, you can only really use a socket cap screw
