I have a set of reproduction Fentons on my Mercury. They're nice, but the mounting holes were off (too wide) by about 1/4". The gasket flange is a little oversized (hangs out, over the gasket surface of the head) and is ground flat. There's enough surface for the gasket to seal, but it doesn't have the typical groove for the gasket. After a little grinding on the mounting holes to get them to fit on the heads, I just scribed around the head edge to give myself a location for the gasket. I used spray on adhesive to hold the gasket in place on the cover. Once torqued down, the gaskets stayed in place and have not leaked.

Here's a pic of my motor with the valve covers mounted. :)

Do you mean the air cleaners? They're late 50's/early 60's Badger or Cal-custom. They were stamped with a flat section so they fit really close to each other. The Edelbrock 2x4 I'm using has the carb centers at 7 1/4". That's really tight and obviously limits the air cleaner choices. I modified these to use a K&N filter instead of that icky horse hair stuff. :p They're a little taller than original, but they easly accommodate the teapot carbs. The tops were originally chrome plated, but pretty rusty when I got them. The silver hammertone paint hides the pits nicely. :)
