Gasser 57 worte " That was a great show, especially for its first year. Someone should start a thread with event coverage to show what a great job Eric, Dave, and the rest of the F.O.M. did putting on a cool hot rod and tiki show. They are likely gonna do it again next year, all of you near Dayton won't want to miss it! I wish I had a camera."

My daughter took some pictures and here's a few to get a flavor of the event.

Had a good time today at what was called Festiki. Won a Top 25 award with the old POS Merc. Can you believe that? The judges must have been drunk or something. It seemed like they must have called @ least 50 names. Boy was my daughter shocked.
They had all kinds of entertainment. It really was more of a concert than a car event this year. They had a fellow doing a sand sculpture...............

I was surprised at the number of people wearing surf or island attire. My daughter and I dressed the part but there were a few that the fashion police should have arrested....

And now for the really neat part. They had about four Tiki carvers there and one of the fellows (Gasser 57) from Cleveland did a show where he carved with a chainsaw. We had seen him over at the Rumble a couple of years ago. When he gets done he likes to have the freshly carved Tiki burnt by using someone with flamethrowers. I figured since Fred wasn't there and I was the only fire shooter on the grounds, it was time to be a star.
