You mean like this? Well, maybe not exactly like this, but using an existing body has been done in the US. Maybe not in fibergl***, though.
I've been wondering the same thing. Just the bucket though. The HAMBster guys I've talked with don't have a problem with it but I want to stay within the lines. Damn lines! What say the rule makers?
As long as it's proper, use whatever body you want. Don't think you would want to use anything from the '40s or newer, but otherwise, don't let anything but weight hold ya back.
