That is a rare car, just got through helping with a restoration of a 300F. I kinda fell in love with it. Nice car.

here's my girl the day i got her.

 

i'll get somemore pics this weekend as there's a guy around the corner from me who has 3 sets of fins in the street in front of his place.
he's got a '58 sedan de ville, a '53 caddy and a '57 desoto fireflight. the desoto and the '53 caddy are in excellent shape but the '58 needs work and by work, i mean he needs to give it to me, so i can rob it for parts for my '58. supposedly he has several more '58's in storage so once i get my car to NOLA i'll contact him to see if i can get parts. he's good friends with my landlord so it should work out well.

 

I'll see yer fins, and raise ya a toilet seat, LOL!!!!

Although usually considered gaudy and kitsch by most auto design fans, this thread confirms my long held belief that in automotive styling, the tail fin is king!

 

Love those flying toilet seats.

That's one of my favorite cars. What a nice body, will make a nice project. Stude was always ahead of it's time.
