First time i see this thread. You did an awesome job keepin motivated over that huge amount of crappy work you found, and ended up with a fine lookin kustom. Fuckin-A-rite.
What you done for suspension to have it sittin like that, and what wheels are you plannin on?
    Lotsa kudos man.

  4. Morning Guys.

It's been a busy weekend. Moved the chevy up to my friends place to paint WHOOT!

The best news is his friend is a pro-painter and has agreed to lend a hand.
Note to self: stock the beer fridge! That's my friends 61 Ford Unibody, and Dad supervising LOL

It should be jambed this weekend, and I've got to plumb the blower into the "paint booth"

FunnyCar65, I would be my honor to meet ya!

Bonez, Thanks for the kind words!
The rear is a 8.2" 10 bolt from a late 70's Fleetwood, I'm using all the GM 4 link control arms with lower ones from a Monty with the sway bar. Using this setup the rear seat didn't move to get all that under there. Hub caps over those s-10 wheels;)

Went up last night to start masking and lookie what's all over the car.
Fly $h!t everywhere, and wax and grease remover won't touch it. I guess I'll try some 800 grit tonight.

  6. My friend's dad was there last night, and he knew how to remove fly $h!t
    Vinager. It wipes right off.
I'm sure I'll have to use water dilute the acidic nature but it works

  7. Nice productive day.
Got the Jambs painted, car reassembled, all the fly $h!t wiped off, cleaned the outside again.

Chops like this job always puzzled and fascinated me. Great that you could see ahead to where the lines would turn out so well.

Update! I really want to see the car in that color you picked. That and a set of nice wheel covers and I think it'll be a knockout.

Haha! Love to help, but we're headed to the Ohio Mile, for one last race this year, when I get home!

    Raincheck? Lol!

  27. Little update:
Still making a mess in my garage color sanding.
Dad was in the hospital last month so that put things on hold for a while. Thankfully he is doing much better now.

But I''m gaining on it, all that's left is the drivers side YUPPEEE:D
