Here's a some free advice - change the wheels and the car will look more appealing. No need to thank me, it's just how I roll.

p.s. thom, I know a couple interior guys. So many guys here in Denver are outrageous on prices, I know 2 locals that are reasonable, and the guy who did my 57 who by comparison out here was dirt cheap, and its just a 4 hour drive.

Looking forward to striping it up!

  7. Uhg, sure, keep rubbing it in  Not quite yet.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm going to give doing the interior myself a go
    Caus that's how I roll:cool:
That and I'm a cheap bastard, just ask my wife:eek:

Now that I think about it, you just might be the only hired help on this project.....Unless you do training?:p

Car is looking better every time.

Yes I do training, though if you learn it like I did you wont want to do your own lines for a year or so.

Amazing transformation! Really beautiful! I love the wheel radiuses, and the lipped skirts.

I'm surprised to see it has not been nosed. Will it get the stock emblem, and center strip?

  17. Thanks a bunch guys

    Mo,
I picked up an aluminum center strip, and I have decent emblems, and I like a bit of chrome:)

I second the New Roof idea...

  19. wut?
Your about 2 years behind LOL

Anyhow, a few notes from the peanut gallery.

I've got her buffed out, and starting to assemble stuff back on WHOOT! exciting times

If you remember, I got a really cheap beat up 55 rear bumper way back when.
The plan is to get a wagon center piece to mount the license plate to, but what to do with the bumper guards? The wagon guards are stubby, and the light on the sedan's is in the wrong spot.

I borrowed my friends 55 front bumper and tried one of those guards on the back.

    "Like a glove!"
So my plan is still in place, new 3 piece, with a wagon center, using front guards. I'll probably use a frame with lights for the plate.

Wow nice job,Hope to see it in person running around Denver.I like how you grafted the side pipes into the body along with everything else.

  21. Thanks Dude :D

I stayed up late and threw some more parts at her.

We'll have to wait a little bit for better pics, it's dark when I get home now, and it's gona snow this weekend.

  22. Slight (although expensive) detour from the upholstery.
A new back window arrived the other day. Now that it's warmer I can get that installed so it will be mostly weather tight.

And the brown truck dropped this off today. It's my new A/C and heater system from classic air industries.

I'll detail out my install, I didn't find much anywhere on that.

  25. A nice long weekend of fabin!

The back window is "in" but it's not quite seated yet. The glass is the right shape but it's tight top to bottom so I can't quite get the top lip seated yet. HF had suction cups on sale, so I picked up 1/2 dozen to pull down with some ratchet straps. Hopefully when it warms back up I can get it seated all the way.

Anyhow, here are some pics of my air conditioning install. Whipped up 2 bent brackets to hold the evaporator. The condenser and pump are installed also. Started on some hose work, and I'll need to get some heater hose.

All in all, the instructions are very clear, and so far the Classic Air Conditioning customer service has been outstanding.

    Attached Files:

  26. Fixed, or finished the back window.
Rolled it out in the sun, rolled the windows up and put an electric heater in side. Suction cups and a little pushing and the inner lip is seated.
